PEC has formally issued the new Smart Syllabus for Grade 8. Along with it, the pairing scheme and model papers have also been provided so that students can prepare with clear understanding.

Each subject paper will be of 100 marks, divided as follows:

• 40 marks – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

• 60 marks – Descriptive (theory / essay-type) questions

PEC will conduct exams for only four subjects of Grade 8.

Important Notice for Students

Students who have received a supply (supplementary) in any subject of Grade 9 must prepare that subject according to the old syllabus.

Especially those students who have a supply in Islamiat (Annual Exams 2025) should prepare for the Islamiat exam according to the old books of both Grade 9 and Grade 10.

Please follow this guidance carefully during your preparation to avoid any confusion.

Very Important Education Update — Announcement by Minister of Education Rana Sikandar

The Grade 8 syllabus will also be shortened.

Minister of Education Rana Sikandar announced that just like the syllabus of Grade 9 and Grade 11 is being shortened, the syllabus of Grade 8 will also be shortened by next week.

PEC Exams Becoming More Likely

The shortening of the syllabus clearly indicates that the chances of PEC exams are increasing.
If the syllabus is officially reduced, PEC examinations may be conducted in 2026.

پیکٹا نے جماعت ہشتم کا نیا سمارٹ سلیبس باضابطہ طور پر جاری کر دیا ہے۔
اس کے ساتھ ساتھ پیئرنگ اسکیم اور ماڈل پیپرز بھی فراہم کر دیے گئے ہیں تاکہ طلبہ مکمل سمجھ بوجھ کے ساتھ اپنی تیاری کر سکیں۔

ہر مضمون کا امتحانی پرچہ 100 نمبروں پر مشتمل ہوگا، جس کی تقسیم درج ذیل ہوگی:

• 40 نمبر ایم سی کیوز (MCQs)

• 60 نمبر تشریحی (انشائیہ) سوالات

پیکٹا کی جانب سے جماعت ہشتم کے صرف چار مضامین کا امتحان لیا جائے گا۔

طلبہ کے لیے اہم اطلاع

وہ طلبہ جنہیں جماعت نہم کے کسی مضمون میں سپلی (Supply) آئی ہے، وہ اس مضمون کی تیاری پرانے نصاب (Old Syllabus) کے مطابق ہی کریں۔

بالخصوص وہ طلبہ جن کی اسلامیات میں (سالانہ امتحانات 2025) سپلی آئی ہے، وہ اسلامیات کی تیاری جماعت نہم اور دہم کی پرانی کتابوں کی روشنی میں مکمل کریں۔

براہِ کرم اپنی تیاری کے دوران اسی ہدایت کو مدِنظر رکھیں، تاکہ کسی قسم کی غلط فہمی یا الجھن سے بچا جا سکے۔

اہم تعلیمی اپڈیٹ — وزیر تعلیم رانا سکندر کا اعلان

جماعت ہشتم کا سلیبس بھی شارٹ کر دیا جائے گا۔
وزیر تعلیم رانا سکندر کے مطابق، جس طرح جماعت نہم (9th) اور گیارھویں (11th) کا سلیبس شارٹ کیا جا رہا ہے، بالکل اسی طرز پر جماعت ہشتم (8th) کا سلیبس بھی اگلے ہفتے تک کم (Short) کر دیا جائے گا۔

پیکٹا امتحانات کی راہ ہموار
سلیبس کے شارٹ ہونے کا واضح مطلب یہ ہے کہ پیکٹا کے امتحانات کے امکانات مزید بڑھ گئے ہیں۔ اگر سلیبس کو باضابطہ طور پر شارٹ کر دیا جاتا ہے، تو پیکٹا امتحانات 2026 میں منعقد کیے جا سکتے ہیں۔
